We collaborated with Cyberdrone to deliver a spectacular drone show for the National Day Event in Hail City, Saudi Arabia, featuring an impressive display of 1,000 drones. The event attracted significant attention, was broadcast by local TV channels, and received coverage in local news. Based on their outstanding service, we have continued to choose Cyberdrone as our drone show provider for other events.

On behalf of the Art of Flight team, thank you for your support of the inaugural Art of Flight Festival. Despite challenging weather, the Balloon Glow and Drone Show became a highlight for visitors and locals, with overwhelmingly positive feedback. Your support helped showcase the event’s potential and lay the foundations for Art of Flight as an annual highlight for northeast Victoria. We look forward to working with you next year.

A series of unusual events led me to Cyberdrone, and it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened. The team of professionals they saved the March 8th show and executed everything at the highest level. What set this company apart from others was the clear and thorough explanations provided right from the start, along with maximum transparency.

Why
Cyberdrone?

Italy has never told its stories in just one medium. Frescoes on vaulted ceilings, opera on stage, cinema on the big screen—every era found its own way to turn light and motion into emotion. The next chapter is written higher up: a drone show in Italy that uses the night sky as its temporary architecture.

Imagine Rome at blue hour, Milan’s skyline after a product reveal, a terrace in Positano after the last toast, a villa on Lake Como as the sun slips behind the hills. Instead of smoke hanging over historic rooftops, the sky opens up into living geometry: brands, symbols, dates, silhouettes and scenes that move with the music and feel tailored to the place. Quiet, precise, and camera-ready.

From national celebrations and city festivals to vineyard weddings, fashion weeks, yacht events, and global launches, drone shows become the “key scene” of the night. They respect fragile surroundings, coastal air, and densely built centers. No falling debris, no shock-wave explosions, no haze over a UNESCO skyline—just clean lines of light, choreographed to the second.

At Cyberdrone, we don’t just operate drones, we build them. Hardware, software, and animation sit under one roof, which means every orbit, rotation, and transition is designed as part of your story: an outline of a new tower, a reinterpretation of the tricolore, a logo that blooms into particles and reforms as a slogan, a heart forming above a wedding venue, a motif pulled straight from Italian design or heritage.

We also work side by side with local partners—producers, agencies, and venues—to make sure the sky language feels native to the ground below. The pacing, the color palette, the references, the key frames for content capture: everything is tuned to your location and your audience, whether it’s a small invited circle or an entire city watching from balconies and squares.

Behind the scenes, our team handles safety planning and coordination with local authorities, as well as the on-site logistics of launch pads, flight zones, and timelines. With long flight endurance, our fleet can create volumetric 3D figures that read clearly both live and on video—essential for social media, press, and post-event campaigns.

Italy has always understood the power of a well-framed moment. With Cyberdrone, that moment lifts off the ground and hangs above you, shared by everyone looking up at the same time. A drone show in Italy updates the language of celebration into something in tune with the places people love.

Have a question?
Here are the answers!

Are drone shows noisy?

Drone shows are significantly quieter than fireworks, producing only a soft humming sound. This makes them suitable for urban environments and residential areas.

Are there any specific site requirements?

Yes. Every drone show requires a flat, stable, debris-free launch zone with sufficient space for takeoff, landing, and safety perimeters. If a suitable surface is not available, temporary launch platforms can be installed.

Are drone shows safe for large public events?

Yes.

Professional drone shows operate under strict safety protocols, including controlled launch zones, geofencing, redundancy systems, and real-time monitoring.

Each show is designed with a defined safety perimeter and emergency procedures to ensure safe operation for both audience and surroundings.

Can drone shows be synchronized with music?

Yes, drone shows can be fully synchronized with music, countdowns, or live performances. This creates a cohesive and immersive experience for audiences. A synchronized drone light show enhances both visual and emotional impact.

Do you offer pyro drones?

Yes. Cyberdrone’s pyro drones are our own hybrid aircraft built in-house to combine LED imagery with precisely timed spark accents in the same flight. The point is not “constant fireworks,” but controlled punctuation: a brief accent that marks transitions or a finale without overpowering the tone.

In Makkah, we use pyro only when it’s permitted and appropriate, and always within the approved zones and distances. Think a clean light sequence, then a short synchronized spark cue as a chapter marker, then back to LED choreography—tight, measured, and respectful.

Our team also manages the operational side end-to-end: permitting, safety zoning, fallout modeling where required, and on-site coordination with venue and relevant services. The effect is synchronized to music/motion and designed to read clearly from large viewing areas.

What permits and documents are required to organize a drone show in Italy?

Organizing a drone light show in Italy starts with compliance. Civil drone operations fall under the EU UAS framework and are supervised by ENAC (Ente Nazionale per l’Aviazione Civile). In most cases, a drone show is a specific category operation, which means the operator needs an existing operational authorization or declaration. Foreign teams usually work via cross-border approval, sharing their authorization and show details with ENAC.

Airspace planning is just as important. The flight area, altitude, schedule and scenario must be defined in advance and checked via D-Flight to verify UAS geo-zones and restrictions near airports, cities, parks or heritage sites. For certain locations, ENAC may require a Temporary Reserved Area (TRA) activated by NOTAM. If you’re flying over city centers, waterfronts or landmarks, you’ll often also need written permission from municipalities, heritage authorities or park administrations.

If the fleet comes from abroad, add customs to your checklist: technical specs, serial numbers, temporary import or ATA Carnet documents, and confirmation letters from the event organizer. On top of that, operators must hold third-party liability insurance and be ready to provide an emergency response plan, crowd-safety measures and proof that the show will run over a controlled ground area.

How can I book a drone light show with Cyberdrone in Italy?

Booking a drone show in Italy with Cyberdrone is less about “ordering a service” and more about building a moment together. It starts with a quick briefing: you tell us what you’re planning—a public celebration in Rome, a seaside event near Naples, a stadium show in Milan, a private gala on Lake Como—and what you want people to feel when they look up.

From there, we define the creative idea and the right scale. For weddings, boutique events, or VIP evenings, a smaller fleet can still deliver a powerful emotional peak. For festivals, city campaigns, or big-brand launches, we can create a large-scale drone light show in Italy with multiple scenes, smooth transitions, and volumetric 3D figures. We’ll recommend the drone count and format that fit your venue, goals, and budget, so the setup is efficient, not excessive.

Next comes the regulatory side, but that stays on our desk, not yours. Italy has clear rules for drones and public gatherings, and a professional drone show in Italy must respect them. We handle contact with aviation and local authorities, airspace coordination, required notifications, and safety planning on site. You receive a roadmap with key milestones and approvals; we take care of the technical jargon and paperwork.

While permits and logistics move forward, our in-house team gets to work on the show itself: storyline, visual language, 3D animation, synchronization with your music, and export into flight-ready files for our own hardware. Logos, messages, symbols, and custom figures are designed specifically for your event and location: nothing generic, everything tuned to your Italian audience and backdrop.

On show day, our crew arrives with the full setup: drones, ground control, technicians, and pilots. We secure the launch area, run test flights, align timings with your program, and then execute the performance from first take-off to last landing. Your role at that point is simple: enjoy the reaction when the sky becomes part of the event.

When you’re ready to take your story above the crowd, reach out via email or our website. Share your date, location, and idea, and we’ll guide it from first concept to lights in the Italian sky.
