Kicking off the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna with the drone show from Cyberdrone was a brilliant experience from start to finish. The collaboration between our teams was fantastic, and the outcome—3,000 glowing drones dancing above Schönbrunn Palace in Austria’s largest drone show ever as an opening act—was nothing short of magical. An absolutely spectacular opening that set the perfect tone for the weeks ahead.

Why
Cyberdrone?

A drone show in Mongolia offers a striking way to present the country’s culture, landscapes, and national identity. From the modern skyline of Ulaanbaatar to the open steppe and the Gobi Desert, Mongolia provides an impressive setting for large-scale performances in the night sky.

Drone shows in Mongolia can be used for national holidays, Naadam celebrations, city festivals, tourism campaigns, concerts, corporate events, and private occasions. Illuminated formations can display national symbols, traditional ornaments, horses, eagles, maps, logos, and animated 3D scenes.

Cyberdrone provides full creative and technical production for every drone light show in Mongolia. We design and manufacture our own drones, develop proprietary swarm software, and create all animations in-house. This allows us to control flight stability, brightness, timing, and the precision of every formation.

Our drones fly for up to 18 minutes and reach speeds of up to 8 meters per second. These capabilities make it possible to create smooth transitions, dynamic storytelling, and clear volumetric figures visible from multiple viewing angles.

Each show is developed specifically for the event and location. Cyberdrone manages concept development, animation, site analysis, safety planning, rehearsals, launch logistics, and coordination with local organizers and authorities.

A Cyberdrone drone show in Mongolia combines technology, storytelling, and local cultural imagery, transforming the sky into a memorable visual experience for live audiences, media, and social platforms.

Have a question?
Here are the answers!

What permits and documents are required to organize a drone show in Mongolia?

Professional drone shows in Mongolia generally require prior authorization for the proposed flight area, date, time, altitude, and operational parameters. For large public performances involving multiple drones, the relevant authorities may also request detailed information about the drone fleet, flight control systems, operators, safety procedures, and the purpose of the event.

We provide the technical documentation required for the approval process, including flight plans, risk assessments, operating procedures, equipment specifications, insurance documents, emergency response plans, and the overall safety concept.

The approval package may include a detailed flight plan; coordinates and maps of the launch and flight area; drone fleet and equipment specifications; operator and pilot information; a risk assessment; operational and safety procedures; an emergency response plan; proof of insurance; confirmation from the venue or landowner; and permissions from local authorities and security services, where applicable.

Additional coordination may be required for events held in city centers, public squares, stadiums, tourism destinations, or other locations with large audiences. Shows planned near airports, government facilities, critical infrastructure, protected natural areas, or culturally significant sites may be subject to additional restrictions and review.

Mongolia’s open landscapes and unobstructed horizons can provide excellent conditions for aerial performances. Once the necessary approvals have been obtained, a standard drone light show can offer a modern, lower-impact alternative to traditional fireworks, without the smoke, firework debris, or loud explosions associated with conventional displays.

What types of events in Mongolia are best suited for drone light shows?

Drone light shows are particularly effective for events that combine storytelling, visual scale, and a strong sense of place. Mongolia’s open landscapes, cultural heritage, and expansive viewing areas make it possible to create performances that work equally well for large public audiences and smaller destination events.

National celebrations and public festivals are among the most suitable formats. Events such as Naadam, city anniversaries, cultural festivals, and official public ceremonies can use drone formations to visualize national symbols, historical themes, traditional sports, horses, eagles, and other images connected with Mongolian identity.

Tourism promotion and destination events are another strong application. A drone show can support a resort opening, tourism campaign, regional festival, or destination presentation by combining contemporary technology with Mongolia’s natural scenery. Locations near Lake Khövsgöl, the Gobi Desert, Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, and other scenic areas can provide a distinctive setting, subject to local and environmental restrictions.

Corporate events and product launches can use drone shows to combine branding, storytelling, and entertainment. Drones can display logos, product outlines, anniversary dates, key messages, and animated visual sequences for companies in mining, energy, telecommunications, finance, automotive, technology, and other industries.

Concerts, cultural performances, and entertainment events are also well suited to drone integration. The aerial display can be synchronized with music, stage lighting, and live performances, extending the visual experience beyond the stage and creating strong content for media and social platforms.

Sports events and opening or closing ceremonies can use drones to present team symbols, event branding, trophies, athletes, and visual interpretations of traditional or international competitions. The show can serve as a central ceremonial moment without obstructing the main program.

Hotels, resorts, weddings, and private celebrations can use smaller, customized drone shows for proposals, anniversaries, family occasions, and VIP events. Names, initials, dates, symbols, and personalized animations can be incorporated into the performance.

Drone shows are also suitable for mining, infrastructure, and industrial milestone events. They can mark project launches, anniversaries, construction milestones, workforce achievements, and community celebrations while visually communicating the scale and future direction of a project.

The strongest drone show concepts are usually built around a clear story and adapted to the location, audience, and purpose of the event. A well-designed performance can create a memorable live experience while also generating valuable photo and video content for further promotion.

Are drone shows noisy?

Drone shows are significantly quieter than fireworks, producing only a soft humming sound. This makes them suitable for urban environments and residential areas.

Are there any specific site requirements?

Yes. Every drone show requires a flat, stable, debris-free launch zone with sufficient space for takeoff, landing, and safety perimeters.

If a suitable surface is not available, temporary launch platforms can be installed.

Are drone shows safe for large crowds?

Yes. Professional drone shows are designed with strict safety procedures, including controlled launch zones, flight monitoring systems, and emergency protocols.

Can you show a preview of the final show before we fly?

Yes. After the concept and venue are agreed, we can present a simulation in a 3D visualizer so you can review timing, transitions, and how each formation reads from the audience area.
