In November 2025, we did a drone show for Avatr Egypt right next to the Step Pyramid. Five hundred drones lit up the sky to showcase the new Avatr 11 and 12. The goal wasn't just to present the cars - it was to make a statement. And the location had to match.
Why a drone show made sense
Kasrawy Group is a major name in Egypt's automotive market. They know how to launch brands, and they took the Avatr rollout seriously. This wasn't just another model - it's a joint project with Huawei and CATL, going head-to-head with European premium players. But more importantly, the Egyptian audience cares about both tech and heritage.
Traditional promotional tools proved insufficient. The launch demanded a far greater impact. We needed an event people would remember. So we proposed a drone show. The show was designed for impact, but also to connect the brand with Egypt's cultural heritage. The reasoning was clear: a futuristic product deserves a setting that feels timeless.
The results came fast. By the next day, videos had gone viral across social media. The campaign generated significant online engagement, with content being widely shared and commented on across social platforms. For Avatr Egypt, this became one of the most effective launches in recent years. The show functioned not as a one-off performance, but as a content factory - delivering a library of clips that sustained their advertising for months.

The location as part of the story
The Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara is one of Egypt's most iconic ancient landmarks. We wanted a venue that would carry the atmosphere on its own, without much decoration, and the pyramid delivered.
What really won us over was the lighting system they have installed there. The way it syncs with the music creates an immersive experience, making the ancient structure feel like part of the show.

We ended up with a direct view of the Step Pyramid. Drones took off from the ground, the audience stood below, and the sky became our canvas. The location gave us a visual impact that no soundstage could ever match.
We didn't pick this place by accident. At Cyberdrone, we always treat the location as a full-fledged part of the show. Here, the Pyramids weren't just a backdrop; they became part of the narrative. Every drone movement was framed by those ancient stones. And that emotional kick is something you don't get in a convention hall.
How the show came together
It started with a simple brief: show the cars through light. We designed several scenes, all tied to the brand. First, the Avatr logo appeared - crisp, clean, no over-the-top effects. Then the drones reshaped into the outlines of the cars. Technically tricky, but worth the effort.
Powered by Cyberdrone's proprietary software, the entire fleet moved as a single, perfectly coordinated system, with centimeter-level precision and seamless transitions between formations. Car silhouettes came to life in the night sky, moving across it as if driving along a star-lit road - turning complex aerial choreography into a cinematic experience. Using timecode, we locked every move to the client's track, achieving millisecond-perfect synchronization between light, music, and motion.

Why this approach works
Every brand today fights for attention. Social feeds are flooded, and a banner ad won't cut it anymore. A drone show is an event that's hard to ignore. It grabs eyeballs, sparks emotion, and almost automatically becomes shareable content.
For car launches, that's gold. A car is a product sold on image. Show it in a regular pavilion - boring. Show it in the sky above the Pyramids - and you've got a story. That's how Avatr became more than just another Chinese EV to Egyptians - it became something global, something tied to their own heritage.
The Cairo case proved once again: drones aren't just hype. They're a tool that creates long-lasting content and genuine connection. And that connection outlasts the final blackout.
