For a full month—each evening—our fleet lit up the coastal skies above Salalah, turning monsoon-season mist and mountains into a stage for Omani heritage and joy.
Celebrating Khareef: Tradition, tourism, transformation
The Khareef Dhofar Festival, held annually from mid‑July to end‑August, marks the monsoon-driven “green season” unique to southern Oman. Salalah transforms into a lush, fog‑shrouded wonderland, drawing tourists, families, and cultural enthusiasts across the Gulf. At Iteen Square, the festival’s epicenter, a blend of performances, international acts, and interactive installations—alongside the world’s largest inflatable amusement park—creates a vibrant, multifaceted experience for visitors.
This year, drone visuals became a nightly highlight as attendees gathered after sunset to experience aerial storytelling infused with local flavor.
Aerial narrative: Symbols that sing of Oman
Each night, as the drones lifted into Salalah’s misty coastal air, the sky came alive with glowing symbols that spoke directly to the spirit of the region.
